What You’ll Be Doing

As a Data Engineer at Buildnow, you’ll be instrumental in designing and scaling the systems that fuel our insights and solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of transactional data.
• Develop and manage cloud-based data infrastructure using GCP or AWS.
• Design and implement data architectures, including data lakehouses, OLAP systems, and event-driven pipelines.
• Optimize ETL workflows and enable real-time data processing with tools like Kafka and Airflow.
• Productionize ML models in collaboration with data scientists.
• Ensure robust programming practices with strong Python fundamentals and a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced data engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about building scalable, efficient systems. The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on scalable cloud-based systems.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and modern data tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark, Kafka).
• Solid programming skills in Python, with strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with various data architectures, including data lakehouses, OLAP, and event-driven systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build efficient, scalable data solutions.
